I realize I haven’t posted on this site news page in awhile, so here’s a bit of an update. I’ve been quietly working on the database on the backend since my last updates, and finally got the Breyer Traditional database in a polished enough state that I could upload it to the site and create individual mold pages containing all the models for that mold.
I’m still working on adding color descriptions for each model and adding any photos I have. I take massive amounts of photos at every live show I go to so that I can add them to this site, but photo editing is definitely a slow process! As always, if you see a model without photos that you can provide photos for, I am thrilled to get them. Please see the Photo Submissions page for more info. I am currently working on the Breyer Stablemate database so I can get that uploaded and create those mold pages as well. Then I will do the various other scales, which shouldn’t take that long because there are a lot fewer of those models.
Once the Breyer section of the site is done (or at least mostly done) I will focus on Hartland, Copperfox, Hagen-Renaker, and Artist Resins.
I have been investigating how to add User Profiles to the site so that people can catalogue their collections, make wish lists, post sales ads, track their photo/live show placings, and more! I haven’t found a good solution yet, but I will.
I am also working on being able to click on model photos and have them pop up at their full resolution. All the photos I take are high res and I want people to be able to look at the fine details in those photos. I just haven’t been able to figure out how to do that via HTML yet. I also plan to improve the dark mode experience on the website at some point because I know that the model tables on each mold pages can be difficult to read in that mode. Until then, use dark mode at your own risk.
To anyone reading this, thank you for your support and interest! I hope to continue improving the site and making it a useful resource. I will take any help I can get in that endeavor. Have a great memorial day weekend!
